Press Release Oktane Trackday 2009.3
Nenhuma nuvem no céu e pista cheia no autódromo. Este foi o cenario para as cerca de 2.000 pessoas que prestigiaram os 53 participantes do Oktane Trackday 2009.3, realizado no domingo dia 30 de agosto, no Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet.
Durante a vistoria antecipada dos veículos realizada no dia anterior ao evento, já podiamos perceber que o evento prometia fortes emoções. Nissan GTR fazendo a vistoria, seguido de uma Mercedes SL63 AMG, Lancer Evolution V e VI, e ainda alguns Subarus WRX. Na pesagem oficial, uma BMW M5, logo depois um Mini Cooper S, Volkswagen Polo Gti e um Ford Maverick em raro estado de conservação.
Pouco antes do briefing já era formada a fila para o box da Yokohama que, representada pela loja Tiremax, ofereceu serviços de troca de rodas, pneus, calibragem e pequenos ajustes a todos os participantes, de forma gratuita e durante todo o evento.
Às 08:45 foi realizado o primeiro briefing com cerca de 30 participantes que acordaram cedo, e já estavam presentes e prontos para aproveitar os primeiros minutos de pista. Durante 15 minutos iniciais os novatos puderam desfrutar de pista livre para, com a ajuda do instrutor indicado pelo evento, aprender o traçado, tangentes, pontos de frenagem e as demais dicas para quem esta começando nos OTDs. Ao fim da bateria de novatos já era anunciada a abertura da pista para todos os participantes.
O calor intenso castigou os participantes e seus bólidos durante todo o dias. Alguns carros apresentaram super-aquecimento e precisaram ser retirados da pista. A equipe de resgate, de forma rápida e eficiênte, conseguia liberar a pista sem demora e sem prejudicar o bom andamento do evento.
A grande novidade para esta etapa foi a divulgação de noticias em tempo real via Twitter. Durante todo o evento, pessoas selecionadas pela organização atualizaram o twitter (http://twitter.com/oktanetrackday) com todas as novidades e destaques do domingo. “A Oktane é um grupo com milhares de integrantes em todo o Brasil. Com o live-timing e o twitter as pessoas que não puderam comparecer no autódromo poderão acompanhar tudo o que acontece pela internet” comenta Rodrigo Gomes.
Já na pista, o dia foi inteiramente dominado por Luis Felipe Ferraiolo conduzindo seu Lancer Evo VI (1320kg) preparado especialmente para este tipo de evento. Ipe instituiu o novo recorde de toda a história dos OTDs com a marca de 1:20.522. A melhora constante é visível durante o ano, principalmente quando se observam os tempos do piloto durante as etapas anteriores. No Oktane Trackday 2009.1 ele conseguiu a marca de 01:24.104, no 2009.2, 01:23.586 e agora conseguiu superar seu melhor tempo em mais de três segundos e meio. “Ainda posso abaixar da marca de 1:20, e espero ainda este ano virar entre 1:18 e 1:19” afirmou Ipe, colocando a modéstia de lado.
Outro destaque foi a participação do advogado João Lima em seu Eclipse GSX que, com inúmeras peças de corrida e grande parte da carroceria feita em fibra de carbono, conseguiu reduzir o peso de seu veículo para 1.368kgs. Com o segundo melhor tempo do dia (01:28.675) o participante já pensa nas melhorias para o próximo evento: “Tive problemas com o balanceamento dos freios, que pareciam estar desregulados, o que me fez rodar algumas vezes nas frenagens mais fortes. Vou resolver esse problema para as próximas etapas e voltar ainda mais forte!”.
Não poderíamos deixar de ressaltar a presença do piloto paulista Mark K., que trouxe de São Paulo um belo Peugeot 205 preparado para TrackDays, com roll-cage (gaiola) feita artesanalmente, motor preparado e pesando apenas 997 kilos, o que lhe garantiu a impressionante marca de 1:34.726 dentre as 47 voltas que completou.
O grande público que lotava o autódromo pode conferir de perto as manobras na pista e os vários exemplares em exposição como o Camaro “bumblebee” amarelo, Mustang Saleen, Corvete, dentre vários outros bólidos que marcaram presença durante o OTD 2009.3. Até os veículos de apoio deram um show a parte. Um novissimo Porsche 911 - 997 GT3 e um Honda Civic Vti Turbo com diversas modificações de performance formaram o exclusivo time de Pace-Cars.
