Press Release Oktane Trackday 2011.3
No ultimo dia 7 de agosto foi realizado o OTD 2011.3. Mais de 65 participantes fizeram a festa na pista para cerca de 2 mil espectadores que circularam pelo autódromo. A lista dos carros esportivos não para de aumentar e, nesta edição, o evento contou com exemplares raríssimos como Lotus Exige, Porsche GT3 RS, Nissan Skyline GTR, Ferrari 355 GTS, Ford Shelby GT 500, Camaro SS, Lancer Evolution X dentre outros.
Nesta terceira etapa de 2011, o Oktane TrackDay inaugurou o sistema de cronometragem com 2 parciais, dividindo a pista em 3 setores, como ocorre na Formula 1. “Isso é ótimo! Agora podemos ver nosso tempo em cada trecho da pista e também a melhor volta teórica. Isso ajuda muito pra identificar aonde podemos melhorar” relatava um dos participantes ao saber da novidade durante o Briefing.
Os serviços de rodas e pneus, nesta edição, ficou por conta a revenda autorizada Yokohama - Lokau Pneus, que conseguiu “dar conta do recado” e atender a todos pedidos de calibragem, trocas e alinhamento dos inscritos. A SafeGuard blindados, patrocinadora oficial do OTD 2011.3 , trouxe um novo Jetta blindado, com menos de mil kms rodados, para participar do evento. “Só quis matar a saudade das pistas”, disse Marco Fornazari, sócio da blindadora e participante assíduo dos OTD´s.
A melhor volta do dia ficou com Luiz Ferraiolo com seu Lancer Evolution VI já conhecido de eventos anteriores, com a marca de 1:20.045. “Ipe” melhorou sua melhor marca anterior de 01:20.522 em quase meio segundo, e por pouco não baixou de 1:20. Seu objetivo declarado era garantir o recorde absoluto, que era defendido desde 2009 e durou até o OTD 2011.2, quando Leonardo Rocha, pilotando o Mustang Interceptor cravou impressionantes 01:19.883, marca não alcançada, ainda, por nenhum outro participante. Outro destaque foi o Vw Gol Turbo de Henrique Lambert com o tempo de 1:27:442, conseguindo a melhor marca de um veículo tração dianteira de todos os eventos já realizados.
